Taralyn serves Hartwick College as the Director of Social Issues and Wellness Education. Her responsibilities include educating our students about topics such as fitness, nutrition, relationships, sexuality, healthy choices with alcohol and other substances, diversity, women's education, spirituality, and GLBTQ.
Tara is a proud alumna of Canisius College. She received her bachelor's degree in communication studies and her M.S. in college student personal administration. Before coming to Hartwick, Tara served as coordinator for student services at Rochester Institute of Technology and director of residence life at Genesee Community College. In addition, she has a strong background in Alcohol and Other Drug Education and student-group advisement. Tara is a member of Phi Sigma Sigma national sorority and Order of Omega. Her professional affiliations include American College Student Education International (ACPA), American College Health Association (ACHA), New York State College Health Educators Association (NYSCHEA), and the Human Rights Campaign (HRC).
