Taralyn serves Hartwick College as the Dean of Student Life. Her responsibilities include oversight of the student conduct system, divisional compliance, assessment, and interfaith and spirituality.
Taralyn is a proud alumna of Canisius College. She received her bachelor's degree in communication studies and her M.S. in college student personal administration. Before becoming the Dean of Student Life, Taralyn served as the Director for Social Issues and Wellness Education, overseeing topics like diversity, inclusion, health, fitness, nutrition, alcohol and other drug education, and many more. She has also served as the co-coordinator for Commencement for Hartwick College since 2009. Before coming to Hartwick, Taralyn served as coordinator for student services at Rochester Institute of Technology and director of residence life at Genesee Community College. In addition, she has a strong background in Alcohol and Other Drug Education and student-group advisement. Tara is a member of Phi Sigma Sigma national sorority and Order of Omega. Her professional affiliations include American College Student Education International (ACPA), Association for Student Conduct Administration (ASCA), College Student Personnel Association of New York State (CSPA-NY), and the North American Association of Commencement Officers (NACCO).
