Hartwick college

The Newman Association is the voice of the Catholic Student Community both on and off campus. Newman Association includes all Catholic students on both the Hartwick and Oneonta State campuses. On each individual campus they are called Newman Clubs. All students interested in planning events and activities for the Newman Association attend weekly meetings at Newman House. Since this is a student association, weekly meetings are organized and led by student officers.

The two groups meet, plan, and participate in most activities and events together as one Newman group. We organize social, spiritual, and service-oriented activities for each campus, Newman House, Saint Mary's College Liturgy, and the Oneonta Community. If you have any questions e-mail us or see us at the reception following the College Liturgy on Sunday nights. All are welcome!

St. Mary's Catholic Mass - Sunday. There are Masses at St. Mary's Church on Sunday mornings at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. and Saturdays at 4:00 p.m.

Peter Derway serves as the Advisor to Newman Club at both Hartwick College and SUNY Oneonta. He has an office at Newman House and Saint Mary's Church. He is available for consultation, pastoral counseling, and for planning programs and activities with both colleges and Newman House.
