Senate Affairs Committee
Mission
The Senate Affairs Committee has two primary functions during the academic year. The first is to oversee Senator and Executive Board elections, including petitions, the electoral process and review. The Senate Affairs Committee is also charged with reviewing resignations and, when necessary, replacing vacant Senate seats. For the fall 2006-07 election, VP of Senate Affairs, Julie Duffy, ran on of the most successful Senate elections in recent years, with nearly 1/3 of the student body voting.
The second primary responsibility of the Senate Affairs Committee is to plan and run the annual Student Activities Awards, in which student clubs and organizations recognize the achievements of student leaders across campus.
