Health Insurance Coverage
Hartwick College requires that all students maintain medical insurance coverage. For students who are U.S. citizens and covered under their own or a parent's health insurance, the College health insurance is optional. For international students, the Hartwick College health insurance is mandatory.
The rate for the 2015-2016 school year is $1,520. This provides the student with twelve months of coverage. The insurance is billed in two equal charges on the Fall and Spring billing statements.
The Fall Term billing statement includes a charge for the first half of the 12-month student health insurance. This charge will remain and the student will be enrolled in the Hartwick College Health Insurance Program unless the insurance election form is completed and returned to the Office of Student Accounts by August 5. You can submit the form electronically by clicking here.
A new election form must be submitted each academic year. Information regarding the insurance program is mailed each summer.
The 2015-2016 brochure is not currently available, however, the 2014-15 brochure is available here for your information. The Health Insurance Claim Form can be found here. All claims should be submitted to the Perrella Wellness Center.
If you are covered by the school's insurance, your student insurance is now active for Hartwick College. Please take time to go to www.studentinsurance.com and select New York/Hartwick College. On the school landing page, click on ‘Student Login' and ‘Set up a new Account'.
