Presidential Inauguration 2008


UPDATE: Saturday, October 4, 2008 was a historic day for Hartwick College. In a ceremony that reflected upon the old institution's past while embracing the promise of its future, Dr. Margaret L. Drugovich was inaugurated as the 10th President of Hartwick College. The the Installation Ceremony took place atop Oyaron Hill.  For complete news recap of the ceremony, click here.

A weekend of events celebrated Drugovich’s presidency, as well as Hartwick’s mission. Based upon the Inaugural theme, “Think It. Feel It. Find It. Know It: Hartwick,” the weekend’s activities focused on the connection between Hartwick College, its students, faculty, alumni, and the world around us.

A symposium on Friday, October 3 included faculty, students, and alumni, and was followed by a Harvest Supper on the Hartwick campus. In the evening, documentary filmmaker and producer Rory Kennedy presented "The Camera Doesn't Lie: Social Change Via Documentary Filmmaking." On Saturday, October 4, delegates from colleges and universities across the country joined the Hartwick community in celebrating Drugovich’s Inauguration overlooking the city of Oneonta.
