The music program brought me to Hartwick. I'll never forget arriving on campus for my audition and seeing the giant gorilla statue (Gigantophithecus) on campus. There are many experiences that stand out during my time at there. January Term in Prague was the most memorable. I loved attending all the musical performances. Our visit to the Concentration Camp is something that I will not forget. My J Term student teaching experiences allowed me to feel completely comfortable starting out in my own classroom.

My activities as a student included Chamber Choir, Orchesis, College Choir, Phi Kappa Lambda, and the Honor Society. I spent many hours in the Music Circle of Anderson Center, and have many memories of Music Theory class with Dr. Steve Markuson--including shoes being tossed out the window and some water guns. Talk about making learning fun!

I am teaching elementary general music and chorus, and voice lessons--thanks to the solid foundation I received at Hartwick.
