Hartwick Joins Hundreds of Schools for CollegeWeekLive FALL

November 2, 2010

On November 3 and 4, from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., Hartwick College will join hundreds of other institutions in CollegeWeekLive FALL, an online admissions program.

Hartwick will have a "virtual booth" at the giant virtual College Fair, which connects prospective students and parents with admissions counselors from a wide variety of colleges, including Hartwick.

CollegeWeekLive FALL features live streaming video keynote presentations from college application and admissions experts addressing college planning topics including "How to pay for college: financial aid and scholarships," "The college application process: standardized tests (ACT and SAT), how to write an application essay, admissions interview tips," and "School fit: how to pick the school for you."

The program also includes virtual booths for colleges, featuring electronic brochures, videos, webinars, podcasts, and real-time IM and video chat between admissions counselors and students/parents, as well as real-time, interactive Q&A sessions with admissions officials, live interactive video chats with current college students providing an insider's perspective on their school and the admissions process, and networking capabilities to connect students with other students and service providers.

Participants can join hundreds of colleges and universities from around the world and tens of thousands of high school students, watch college application and admissions experts speak on topics such as how to prepare for the SAT, how to write a winning application essay or how to pay for college, and video chat with college students to learn what campus life is really like.
