Hartwick Plans Day for Accepted Students

April 5, 2010

On Sunday, April 11, Hartwick College will welcome accepted students and their parents for a special event intended to introduce them to the real-world Hartwick experience.

Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with faculty and students to discuss their current research, J Term experiences, and more about their specific major. Also planned are campus tours, and a hands-on dining experience in The Commons.

In separate sessions, accepted students will meet informally with current Hartwick students to find out what going to school here is really like, while their parents will attend a panel discussion with prominent campus figures to talk about the Three-Year Bachelor's Degree Program, course registration, housing options, campus life, and more.

Capping off the day will be a meeting between accepted students and their admissions counselor, as well as a tour of Hartwick's Pine Lake Environmental Campus.

The tentative schedule for the day is as follows:

  • 8:30-10:00: Registration, tables, campus tours
  • 10:00-10:45: Welcome/student presentations
  • 11:00-11:50: Break out Groups by Major
