2014 Hartwick Campus Beautification Day Set for May 2April 25, 2014
Hartwick College will host its annual Campus Beautification Day on Friday, May 2. Students, faculty, and staff volunteers are invited to work on projects across Oyaron Hill from 1-4 p.m.
Registration will begin at 1 p.m. on the Yager Hall patio. Representatives of the Campus Environment and Grounds Committee will be on hand to provide tools, direct volunteers to their work site, and match them up with a team.
"The members of the Campus Environment and Grounds Committee hope members of our Hartwick Community will make every effort to help out on May 2," said Vice President for College Advancement Jim Broschart. "Each year, Campus Beautifcation Day results in the completion of important projects that improve the appearance of our campus, through the generous donation of time and energy. Participating is fun and a chance to spend some time in the fresh air and sun with fellow members of the Hartwick community!"
Projects planned for the event include clean-up behind Smith Hall and lower Yager parking lot, weeding and planting around campus memorials, repair and re-seeding of the lawn by Shineman, Clark and Bresee, mulching and planting by the front entrance, painting signs and posts by Johnstone parking lot, and beautification of the Bresee patio.
For more information on the event, contact Broschart at firstname.lastname@example.org or 607-431-4026.
