'Consumption' Theme Photo Contest Prizes AwardedDecember 13, 2010
Winners in the Fall 2010 "Consumption" campus theme photo contest were announced at the Pine Lake holiday dinner, held December 8 in the Robertson Lodge at Pine Lake Environmental Campus.
Alyssa Pearson '12 was awarded first prize for her photo titled "I Didn't Do It!" (at right).
Aurora Becker '12 was awarded second prize for her photo titled "Pine Lake Joy Consumption."
Victoria Halsted '13 received third prize for her photo "We Will Become the Grass."
Additionally, both Ben Wronkoski '11 and Becker were recognized with honorable mentions.
Serving as judges for the competition were Assistant Professor of Art Stephanie Rozene and Ashley Rombough '10, academic intern in the Department of Art and Art History.
The photo contest was organized by Dan Morse '97, Coordinator of Sustainability Programs for the Pine Lake Institute of Environmental and Sustainability Studies; Katharine Kreisher, Professor of Art and Arkell Hall Foundation Chair of the Arts; and Rombough.
The "Consumption" photo show will be on display in the Robertson Lodge Gallery at Pine Lake through mid-spring 2010. The photo contest and show were supported by the 2010-11 "Consumption" campus theme, the department of Art and Art History, and the Pine Lake Institute for Environmental and Sustainability Studies.
