October 11, 2010

The League of Women Voters of the Oneonta area will sponsor two candidate forums this October.

A debate between the candidates for the 111th New York State Assembly District--Richard Bargabos, William Magee, and Shawn Skeele--will be held Wednesday, October 20 at 7 p.m. in the Morris Conference Center on the SUNY Oneonta Campus.

On Wednesday, October 27 the candidate forum will begin with position statements by the candidates for Oneonta Town Superintendent of Highways, James Hurtubise and Howard Trask, followed by a debate between Michael Arcuri and Richard Hanna for the 24th U.S. Congressional District of New York. It will start at 7 p.m. and be held in the Morris Conference Center on the SUNY Oneonta campus.

Questions for the candidates will come from the public and a local media panel. The public is invited to attend both evenings and ask questions. The candidate forums also will be shown live on Public Access Channel 23.
