Hartwick Hosts Family Weekend September 23-25

September 21, 2011

Hartwick will welcome families and friends to Oyaron Hill and Pine Lake this weekend, September 23-25, for Family Weekend 2011.

For three days, families will get a closer look at life on campus, with events, games, exhibits, picnics, and discussions geared toward understanding Hartwick.

Friday events include exhibits at the Yager Museum of Art and Culture, a geology hike with Professor of Geology Robert Titus, a clay club demonstration with Assistant Professor of Art Stephanie Rozene, and a dessert reception/Prism concert performed by Hartwick students, staff, and faculty.

Saturday's highlights include a coffee hour with Hartwick's award-winning faculty, Brooks' barbecue and pumpkin decorating at lunch, the annual Cardboard Boat Race at Pine Lake, a Conversation with Hartwick President Dr. Margaret L. Drugovich, a Cultural Celebration of Hartwick's international reach, and live music from Hartwick-alumni band The Gentleman Outfit.

On Sunday, be sure to take in the Code BLUEberry Brunch before joining the Hartwick throngs cheering on the field hockey team as they take on SUNY Geneseo.
