Hartwick Education Students to Paint Flower Pots in Downtown OneontaMay 1, 2013
Hartwick College student members of the Society for the Enrichment & Education of Children (Education Club) will host a free mini flower pot painting event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 11 at the Oneonta Farmers' Market, Muller Plaza, Main Street, Oneonta. The event is free and open to the public.
Community children are invited to join in painting flower pots in celebration of the spring season. While the event is free, participants are encouraged to make a donation to the Club's sister school, Pathfinder International School in Ghana.
The Hartwick College Education Club is a student-led group dedicated to the enrichment and education of children of all ages. The club organizes and executes a broad collection of activities throughout the school year.
"This event will be a good opportunity for Hartwick students to get involved with children in the local area," said Club Committee Leader Joanna Sniffen '16. "We're also excited to raise awareness of, and to connect the local community to, our sister school in Ghana."
For additional information on how to get involved in the event, contact Sniffen at email@example.com.
