Hartwick Offers A Free Evening of Jazz

A free evening of jazz music will be offered at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, December 10 in Anderson Center for the Arts Music Circle on the Hartwick College campus. The event is open to the public.

"Jazzwick," a 16-piece jazz ensemble, and "Grooveyard Shift," a seven-piece jazz combo, will perform a swinging, rocking evening of jazz and Latin classics. Songs by Sammy Nestico, Thelonius Monk, Ray Bryant, Herbie Hancock, and more will be featured. Three vocalists will perform songs by Hammerstein & Kern and Carlos Jobim.

The ensembles are directed by Lecturer in Music Rob Hunt and Adjunct Instructor in Music John Davey.
