Hartwick Plans May 4 Open House for High School Juniors

Hartwick College will host an Open House program on May 4, 2013 geared toward current high school juniors who are interested in becoming part of Hartwick's Class of 2018.

The Open House will provide opportunities to learn more about Hartwick's campus, academic and extracurricular offerings, and to meet with key Hartwick personalities. Attendees will speak with various academic departments, learn about student life and the financial aid and admissions process at Hartwick, take a tour, meet current students, learn about the Three-Year Degree program, and much more.

The tentative schedule of events is as follows:

  • 9:00-9:50 a.m. - Registration - Lambros Arena (Binder Physical Education Center)
    Academic & Student Affairs Information Tables
    Campus Tours depart every five minutes
  • 10:00-10:30 a.m. - Welcome and Introduction - Lambros Arena (Binder Physical Education Center)
  • 10:40-11:15 a.m. - Choose One:
    Admissions and Financial Aid & Affordability

  • 12:10 p.m. - Campus Tours depart every five minutes until 1:30 p.m. - Lobby, Bresee Hall
  • 12:40 p.m. - Meet and Mingle with Admissions Counselors - Larsen Lounge, Bresee Hall (light refreshments provided)

Tours of Hartwick's breathtaking hilltop campus will be held throughout the morning and afternoon. You can also visit our environmental campus, Pine Lake, and our equestrian stables at Hunter's Rein.

In addition, students may meet with admissions counselors to determine their eligibility for merit-based scholarships. Bring your high school GPA and copies of your test scores, as they could be worth up to $92,000 over four years.
