'Green Energy' Photo Contest Winners AwardedJanuary 22, 2010
Images by three Hartwick College students have been awarded the top prizes in this year's Pine Lake Fall Photo Competition. The fall 2009 contest theme was “Green Energy,” which connects the competition to the 2009-10 Academic Theme, “Energy.” The winners were announced January 14 during this year's Pine Lake Holiday Dinner. They are:
First place: Margaret Gormley ’10

This year's prize makes Gormley a two-time winner, having also been awarded first place in the fall 2008 contest.
Second place: Alyssa Pearson ’12

Third place: Devan Meck ’10
Meck also received an honorable mention.
Honorable mentions: Brittany Daigneault ’11, Elizabeth Reyes Chambers ’12, Rebecca Hodder ’11
The competition was judged by Assistant Professor of Art Stephanie Rozene, Art and Art History academic intern Terence Henck ’09, and Pine Lake Program Coordinator Dan Morse ’97. The contest was organized by Professor of Art and Arkell Hall Foundation Endowed Chair Katharine Kreisher, Morse, and Henck.
The “Green Energy” photo show will be on display in the Robertson Lodge Gallery at Pine Lake through mid-spring. The contest and show are supported by the “Energy” Academic Theme, the Pine Lake Institute for Environmental and Sustainability Studies, the Department of Art and Art History, and the Pine Lake Student Fee.
