Brittni Stasiuk ’14 Wins Pine Lake Photo Prize

Winners in the eighth annual Pine Lake Prize photo competition were announced at the opening for the Pine Lake Prize photo show, held on Saturday, May 12 in the Robertson Lodge Gallery at Pine Lake.

Brittni Stasiuk '14 was awarded the 2012 Pine Lake Prize for Outstanding Nature Photography for a photo titled Waves of Beauty (above right).

Priscilla Otero '14 was awarded second prize for an untitled photo. 

Shaun Kaminoff '14 was awarded third prize for his photo Reflect on Reflections.

Honorable Mentions were awarded to Zoe Donohue '13, for Breeze in the Trees, and to Hunter Morton '12, for Verde.

Judges for the competition were: Charles Bremer, a photographer and artist based in Otego, New York; Mansir Petrie, Global Education and Service Learning Advisor; Eric Pedersen, Academic Intern in the Department of Art and Art History; and Dan Morse '97, Coordinator of Sustainability Programs.

The photo contest was organized by Morse, Professor of Art Katharine Kreisher, and Petersen.

Please join me in congratulating our prize winners and all the student photographers who participated in this year's contest. The Pine Lake Prize photo show will be on display in the Robertson Lodge Gallery at Pine Lake through late fall 2012.

The contest and show were made possible with support from the Pine Lake Institute for Environmental and Sustainability Studies, the Department of Art and Art History, and the Pine Lake student fee.
