Robinson, Pisano Lead Roundtable on Addiction FridayMarch 15, 2011
On Friday, March 18, Hartwick College will welcome Gary Robinson, LMHC, NCC and Robin Pisano, LMSW from the Hartwick College Counseling Center, who will lead a roundtable discussion titled "The Real Deal on Addiction on College Campuses." The roundtable will be held at 12:30 p.m. in Eaton Lounge, on the second floor of Bresee Hall on the Hartwick College campus. This event is free, and the public is invited to attend. A light lunch will be provided.
Robinson and Pisano will be joined by a member of the Hartwick Class of 2010 to lead a discussion about addiction and its many manifestations in the college setting (alcohol and other drugs, gambling, video gaming, shopping, etc). They will define addiction and share how it can affect a community on personal, financial, family, and academic levels. Beyond mere descriptions of addiction and its effects, this roundtable will offer hope and strength for recovery.
This event is sponsored by the Hartwick College 2010-11 Consumption campus theme. For more information, contact Dan Morse, Coordinator of Sustainability Programs for the Pine Lake Institute for Environmental and Sustainability Studies, at 607-431-4666 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
