Off-campus Vendors Welcome Hartwick Student WICKit CardNovember 15, 2013
As Hartwick students perform day to day activities, it is a comfort to know that they can have easy access to assets. As a student enters the Hartwick community, each is provided with a multiple-purpose campus card, called a "WICKit." These cards are used for an array of transactions both on- and off-campus. In addition to use on Oyaron Hill, WICKit cards can be used as debit cards for select off-campus merchants as well.
Some of these vendors throughout the local area include:
- China 19
- Hometown Deli & Grocery
- Humphreys Gourmet To Go
- Latté Lounge
- Oneonta Bagel Company
- Pizza Hut
- Stewart's Shops
"Humphrey's Gourmet To Go" is the newest addition to the list of off-campus establishments accepting the WickIt Card. Humphrey's owner and Hartwick Lecturer in German Donald Marikovics shared his thoughts on the card, and how his restaurant got involved.
"Humphrey's participated in the Hartwick Freshman Week Pizza Fest and watched as 14 of its pizzas disappeared in 12 minutes flat," he said. "This past summer Humphrey's became accredited to accept WICKit Cards and the result has been a marked increase of sales ... several Hartwick professors and staff are also Humphrey's regulars."
For more information on the WICKit card, visit the Hartwick website.
