Oneonta - Cooperstown Link

Each fall, the Office of Career Services connects students with professionals in the local community through the Oneonta/Cooperstown Link program. Students spend an afternoon job shadowing at local businesses and organizations to gain exposure to their field of interest.  This year the program is scheduled for Friday, November 14.  Applications are available in the PSGE Center, 1st floor, Golisano Hall or online at http://info.hartwick.edu/psge/linkapplicationabo.html.  Application deadline is October 3.

Job Shadow Host Organizations have included:

Bassett Medical Center, Oneonta City Schools, Catholic Charities, Lester R. Grummons Funeral Home, Hartwick College, Freedman's Journal, NBT, Otsego County Treasurer's Office, Bank of Cooperstown, Hospice, Southside Chiropractic, National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, Community Veterinary Center, Otesgo County Department of Social Services, Fly Creek Cider Mill, Clark's Sports Center, Oneonta Eye & Laser Center, Upstate History Alliance, Main View Gallery, CNY Radio Group, Wilber Bank and Opportunities for Otsego

Each year, a committee of Hartwick alumni and parents assists Career Services in locating and providing career shadows to students. The program is coordinated by Lara Sanford, Career Advisor. She can be reached at extension 4048 or sanfordl@hartwick.edu.
