Welcome Parents!

You've been there for each step along the way. You've cleaned scrapes and bruises and hugged away pain. You've spent late nights making sure book reports get done. You've cheered from the sidelines and jumped in head first to make sure your child makes the most of all facets of education. Now that Hartwick College is a part of that picture, we're ready to work with you to make sure the success you've fostered continues.

As a parent of a Hartwick student, you are a valued member of this unique learning community. We will help keep you up-to-date on what's happening on Oyaron Hill, in our classrooms, and out in the world, as our students take their learning experiences beyond the campus.

We hope to provide you with helpful information that will assist you in advising, encouraging, listening to, and supporting your student. As a college, we regard parents as partners in helping our students reach their goals and achieve academic and personal success. An informed parent can help reinforce the messages we send students about expectations and opportunities, ensuring that they utilize available resources, seek out the help they need, and make the most of their college experience.

In committing to our partnership, we want to help educate you about keys to academic success, the logistics of our academic and administrative processes, and the challenges of the first-year transition. We hope these web resources will help as you partner with us in supporting your student in his or her undergraduate journey.

If you have provided us with your e-mail address you will receive e-news from Hartwick throughout the year in addition to other periodic mailings. If you are not receiving e-news, please be sure to sign up here!
