In addition, meeting spaces are available in the Robertson Lodge, the Vaudevillian Theatre, Lakeside Classroom, Strawbale House, and the outdoor Pavilion. Cabins are located along dirt roads in the woods around the beautiful 12.5 acre Pine Lake.

Swimming and boating are available – swimming only when lifeguards are on duty. Use of Pine Lake canoes, kayaks and rowboats is included in the rental fee. Pine Lake is adjacent to Robert V. Riddell State Park and features more than nine miles of trails for hiking and mountain biking. Fishing is permitted in the lake (large and small mouth bass, pickerel, and sunnies galore), and Charlotte Creek (trout) is adjacent to the property.

Our 2013 rental season runs from May 31-August 18.  Check-in is from 3-6 p.m.; check out by 11 a.m. Kitchens are minimally equipped with dishes, utensils, coffee maker, toaster, and microwave. Cabins have two to four bedrooms. Each bedroom has two single beds, some bunked. Linens are not provided, though linen rental can be arranged at $30 per set. Each cabin has a park-style barbecue grill nearby. Use of Hartwick College's gym, pool and fitness center (eight miles away) is included.

Many restaurants are nearby in Oneonta. Grocery stores are about four miles away. Wireless internet is available in all cabins. Television reception is not available. Phones are provided for emergency and local calls only. Cell phone service is unreliable.

As the environmental campus of Hartwick College, Pine Lake hosts research and instructional activities year-round. Typical summer programs include biology research, archaeology digs, theater retreats, and college classes in June.  Rental guests share the grounds with students, researchers, and day visitors, and may participate in some of these activities.
