Golisano Hall

Building the Future of Hartwick College

Golisano Hall, Hartwick College's state-of-the-art green academic building, has been erected and its footprint cemented onto the campus. Construction began in the spring with site excavation and the pouring of the foundation.

Over the summer, the building's frame took shape quickly, with 15 loads of steel erected in just 57 hours. Early fall saw the completion of the brick facade and installation of the majority of the heating and cooling systems.

The windows have now been installed and the roof membrane is complete, making the building weather tight for interior work while the snow is falling. Golisano Hall is on schedule to be completed in June 2008 and ready for classes beginning next August.

Golisano Hall has been designed as a state-of-the-art academic space, which will further enable the Hartwick mission of Connecting the Classroom to the World. Faculty will teach and students will learn in a flexible, innovative environment that promotes close connection between them, and fosters the life-long application of the Liberal Arts in Practice.

On the pages that follow, you may learn more about what makes Golisano Hall so special, the substantial impact the building will have on the College's students and faculty, and how you can get involved in shaping the future of Hartwick College.
