Since Hartwick moved to Oyaron Hill in 1927, the College has been fortunate to have the support of the residents of the greater Oneonta community. The Hartwick College Citizens Board was established in 1954, and is comprised of alumni, parents and friends within a 60-mile radius of Oneonta, who are donors to the college. The Citizens Board hosts an annual benefit gala to raise funds for Hartwick's Civic Engagement Initiative.
