Hartwick's student organization that serves our community- Take One Step Beyond.
Beyond Boundaries is our campus student office for civic engagement. Beyond Boundaries seeks to enable others to help meet the needs of our surrounding community.
It is important for our students, as a part of their liberal arts education, to challenge themselves and go beyond their boundaries--beyond the boundaries of this college campus, the boundaries of their social-economic class, and the boundaries of their own previous experiences. Volunteering takes YOU beyond these boundaries.
The rewards of volunteering one's time and energy to help others are many. Working with the community on a personal level is very important, as it allows for people from different ethnic and religious backgrounds to get to know and better understand each other.
