The Journal of Biological Research is an annual publication, of the Hartwick College Department of Biology, containing all research theses submitted by senior biology majors as fulfillment of the thesis requirement. This online version contains the abstracts of all and the full text of selected theses. The print version is available from the biology department.
The senior thesis in biology is developed in close collaboration with one (or more) biology professors, but is actually conducted by the student. The thesis represents the capstone of an education in biology at Hartwick and encompasses all aspects of real biological research: from proposal to lab or field work to analysis to oral and written presentation.
