With three different majors, the Department of Computer and Information Sciences has a remarkably broad program for a liberal arts college. The Department has the breadth traditionally associated with a university while having the small classes and intimate contact between students and faculty of a liberal arts college.
All three majors emphasize preparation for the future. It is impossible to predict future developments in computer technology, but it is certain that people who are creative problem-solvers, who can learn and adapt to new technology, who work well with others, who have integrity will always be in demand. While our students graduate knowing the latest technology, these are the characteristics that will serve them well throughout their professional careers.
