In the spring of 2006, Alison spent a semester at the University of Limerick in Ireland.
What are you majoring in?
I have a double major in computer science and business administration. I'm also minoring in mathematics.
Where are you from?
Tolland, Connecticut.
What have been the best parts of your experience in the CISC Department?
I really like the small classes and also the fact that, for a small liberal arts college, there is such a large variety of courses offered.
What else have you enjoyed at Hartwick?
I think that my favorite part about Hartwick is the environment that exists on campus. I love not being able to go through my day without running into people I know. I also like the variety of clubs and have participated in a number of them, including the Ballroom Dance Team (the best club ever!).
Have you done any directed studies?
This semester, I'm doing the Programming Languages course one-on-one with Dr. Gann since It was offered when I was in England. The Department is great about making sure you get all the courses you need, even if you have to do a directed study.
What are your plans for your senior project?
I'm going to do it in the spring of 2007. I'm going to firm up my plans during Hartwick's January term, but I already know that I want it to involve Microsoft's C# language.
What are you going to do after graduation?
I intend to do something that combines both my majors.
