Hartwick's Department of Nursing is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). CCNE ensures quality and integrity of nursing programs. The Commission accredits only baccalaureate and graduate degree programs in nursing located in institutions of higher education. The current accreditation is in effect until 2013
CCNE accreditation serves the public interest by ensuring the quality and integrity of baccalaureate and graduate nursing programs and by fostering continuing improvement. Accreditation also assures that graduates of the Hartwick College nursing program meet the expected standards for professional education in nursing, qualifying them to practice nursing as well as to pursue advanced degrees.
