Publications and professional presentations include the following areas:

  • Information systems integration in post-merger situations.
  • Economic regional development issues in China, Burma, Laos, and Thailand.
  • Management leadership theory explored through East Asian literature and philosophy (Confucius, Lao Tzu, and Sun Tzu).
Personal Interests:
  • Active ice hockey and softball player.
  • Harley-Davidson rider.
  • International travel including living in China and Thailand.
  • Music appreciation - Jazz, blues, jam bands, bluegrass and rock.
  • Renovating a 160-year old home and managing a 100-acre timber forest.

Experience:   Corporate:  In New York and Connecticut, worked for three Public Accounting firms and in top management of an AMEX-listed company.  Also worked for the Hurricane Island Outward Bound School (Maine & Florida), the Securities & Exchange Commission (Washington, DC), and the World Trade Center of New Orleans.   Teaching:  At Hartwick since 1983, also have taught for Binghamton University and various universities in Thailand and China.
