In recent years, the student-athletes and supporters of Hartwick College have noticed some major upgrades in the athletic facilities on Oyaron Hill. The College is currently undergoing another major project to enhance these athletic facilities.
Wright Stadium received a face lift not too long ago. An end zone facility housing "The Hawks Nest" gives fans a chance to view the game via a second level glass windowed facility. The bottom level features a concession stand, ticket office, restrooms, as well as storage.
Elmore Field, the home of the Hawks' Division I men's soccer program as well as its women's soccer squad, is more pleasing to the eye during the season as sponsor boards have been added around the playing field - giving Elmore more of a "soccer feel". A Glenn "Mooch" Myernick Memorial, in honor of the late Hartwick soccer great, also sits between Binder Gym and the soccer field.
Binder Gym has undergone a major renovation which was completed in August 2008. The facility, which the College ear marked $750,000 towards improvements, has a new playing floor for both basketball squads as well as Hartwick's volleyball program. New lights, painted walls and new bleachers also highlight the project.
The Binder facility also houses Moyer Pool, the home of Hartwick's water polo and swimming programs.
