HORSEHEADS, N.Y. - Christina Evans (Cedar Hill, Utah) posted a career-high 22 kills and recorded 31 digs to pace Hartwick to a come-from-behind 22-30, 30-23, 22-30, 30-21, 15-13 victory over Pitt-Bradford in its second match of the day at the Elmira College Tournament. The Hawks swept past Manhattanville 30-18, 30-12, 30-10 in the opener.
Hartwick, now 4-2 overall, also received 13 kills and 29 digs from Abby Cummings (Syracuse, N.Y), while Kate Simmons (East Kingston, N.H.) added 12 kills and 17 digs in the victory over the Lady Panthers. Mary Janczak (Ballston Spa, N.Y.) and Keri Sisson (Ballston Spa, N.Y.) each posted 22 digs, while Megan Lemery (South Glenn Falls, N.Y.) posted 23 assists.
In the victory over the Valiants, Evans had a team-high 11 kills, while Janczak led the Hawks defensively with 13 digs. Kelsey Heider (Eagle Point, Ore.) dished off 13 assists.
Hartwick will return to action Saturday as it plays York at noon and Allegheny at 2 p.m. to finish the tournament.
