ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Betsy Breaznell (Delmar, N.Y.), Jennifer Lin (Albany, N.Y.) and Kim Post (Nashua, N.H.) each won their respective singles matches, but it wasn't enough as RIT defeated Hartwick 6-3 in women's tennis action, Sunday.
Breaznell, a returning first team all-Empire 8 honoree, posted a grueling 6-7 (2-7), 7-6 (7-1), 10-5 victory over Brianne Francisco at number one singles. Lin registered her second collegiate victory with a 6-2, 7-5 decision over Alexis Stanley at number two, while Post downed Ashley Oliver 7-5, 6-3 at six singles.
Hartwick, which fell to 1-2 overall, will host Wells College on Thursday at 4 p.m.
