ONEONTA, N.Y. - Sandi Toth scored the opening goal and that was all that visiting Nazareth would need as the Golden Flyers defeated Hartwick 4-0 in women's soccer action, Saturday afternoon at Elmore Field.
Nazareth, now 5-1 overall, got on the board in the 30th minute of the first half as Toth took a feed from Kelly Finn and beat `Wick goalie Ashley Taylor to give the Golden Flyers a 1-0 advantage.
In the second half, Caroline Parson's and Caity Richardson each scored goals at 47:48 and 61:03 respectively to up the lead to 3-0. Richardson's goal came on a successful penalty kick.
The Golden Flyers added a late goal at 72:24 to conclude the scoring.
Hartwick, now 1-5 on the season and 0-2 in Empire 8 action, returns to action Tuesday afternoon as it hosts Daemen. The game is set for a 4:30 p.m. start at Elmore Field.
