Hartwick Falls to St. John Fisher in Women's Soccer

ONEONTA, N.Y. - Mary Dougherty's goal with under two minutes left in double overtime propelled St. John Fisher to a 2-1 victory over Hartwick in Empire 8 women's soccer action, Saturday afternoon.

The Cardinals, who improved to 2-5-1, opened scoring at 47:08 as Samantha Stanley drove home a pass from Kiersten Drexler to give Fisher the 1-0 advantage. However, the Hawks countered close to 17 minutes later as Briana Crow (Scotia, N.Y.) netted her third goal of the year from Alesha Wright (Wilton, N.Y.) to knot the game at 63:58.

After a scoreless first 10-minute overtime, Dougherty banged homer the game winner into an open net off a pass from Stanley.

Hartwick, 3-7 on the year, returns to action Tuesday evening as it hosts Oneonta State at Elmore Field at 5 p.m.
