Hartwick Falls 17-2 to Fisher

PITTSFORD, N.Y. - Laurie Quackenbush scored four goals and five others had two-goal outings as St. John Fisher handed Hartwick a 17-2 defeat, Sunday afternoon in Empire 8 Conference women's lacrosse action.

Quackenbush gave the Cardinals the lead for good with her first goal 1:01 into the contest. The victory moved Fisher to 9-4 overall (6-1 in league play), while Hartwick dropped to 3-8 overall (1-5 in E8 action).

Trailing 13-0, the Hawks got on the board at the 16:04 mark of the second half as Jamie Boulton (Camillus, N.Y.) connected on a successful free position shot. Hartwick's final goal came from Kelsey Campbell (Camillus, N.Y.) at 9:47 off a pass from Tiffanie Bishop (Shoreham, Vt.). Danielle DePerno (Cortland, N.Y.) made four saves before being replaced by Jen Kaye (Altamont, N.Y.), who collected 11 the rest of the way.

The Hawks will wrap up the regular season with three consecutive games at Wright Stadium, beginning with Thursday afternoon's match-up with Cortland State. The game is set for a 4 p.m. start.
