* Note for WinXP users:

WinXP users will need to install additional files in order for ProCite to work correctly. These files will enable ProCite commands under the Tools menu in MS Word.

Please do the following:

Click on the following two links and save them (temporarily) to your Desktop

File #1 and File #2

1. In Word, go to Tools --> Options and click the "File Locations" tab. Select "Startup" and click the "Modify" button. This will give you the path to the Word startup folder. Where it says "Look In" you will see the path to the folder where you want to install the Procite files I sent you. Make a note of this path.

2. Close Word (and Outlook if it's running).

3. Start Windows Explorer. Go to the Word Startup folder. The path to the Word Startup folder is the one you made a note of in step 1. (If you can't see the Application Data folder, go to Tools --> Folder Options and click on the View tab. Find a setting that says Show Hidden Files and Folders and select it. Click OK and you should then be able to see the Application Data folder).

4. Once you are in the Word Startup folder, copy and paste the two downloaded files that are on your desktop (go to Edit --> Paste).

5. Start Procite and open a database.

6. Start Word and you should see the Procite commands in the Tools menu.
