ONEONTA, NY - Hartwick College freshman defensive lineman Dan Flynn (Voorheesville, NY/Voorheesville) was named to the D3Football.com Team of the Week today for his efforts in Saturday's 30-point home win over Norwich, 42-12.
Flynn entered the game making just four tackles on the season, but exploded for a career-high eight including six solo hits against the Cadets. His eight tackles ranked second on the team for the game, and he also recorded his first career sack in the second quarter.
Flynn becomes the third player this season to be recognized on the D3Football.com weekly team along with receivers Jack Phelan (Slingerlands, NY) and Noah Koreman (Albany, NY). The Hawks' offensive line was also honored in early October.
The Hawks travel to Springfield this coming Saturday for their final regular-season road contest at noon.
