Oneonta, the city of the hills, has many hidden gems, one of which is The Yager Museum of Art & Culture
at Hartwick College, the only arts & culture museum in the area. There are five galleries, featuring permanent and temporary exhibits. The museum strives to educate by not only drawing from it’s collections in The Fine Arts, Upper Susquehanna Indian artifacts, Southwestern pottery, baskets, and rugs but by also bringing to the area exhibits that address ongoing and difficult social concerns such as AIDS, DWI and Eating Disorders.
Located on the first floor of the Yager Building at Hartwick College, the museum is open Tuesday - Saturday 12:00 - 4:30; admission is free.
