NEW JUNE 2011 COURSE!
Students will travel to Austria and spend the first week in the charming and quaint town of Salzburg. Here students will explore town landmarks and religious buildings, as well as learn in-depth about the historical aspects of Salzburg. Next the group will travel to Vienna for three weeks to stay with Austrian host families. Here students will continue exposure to Austrian culture through a series of walks, activities, classes, and written reflection. Students also will glean important knowledge on Austria’s history and musical background through attendance at several museums and will gain a strong understanding of what times were like when the royal families inhabited Vienna. There will be thorough discussions as well on the differences and similarities of Austrian culture compared to other cultures.
