What are the benefits of participating in an academic internship?

  • Gaining hands-on experience and developing skills that will give you an edge on the competition in your future job search.
  • Testing out the world of work to find your areas of strength and interest.
  • The opportunity to explore various career environments.
  • An opportunity to design your own experience-based course in an area that interests you!

These pages will outline the steps you need to set up your academic (credit-bearing) internship and take your first glimpse of the "real world!" In addition, many events and resources related to internships, including current information regarding on-campus internship events, are listed on the links below.   To schedule an appointment with Melissa Marietta, Internship Coordinator please call 607-431-4425.
