07/31/17: Monday

Hartwick Drive is closed and is becoming a pedestrian way.

  • Parking has been designated for ADA (near Bresee and Clark), safety vehicles, and package delivery immediately behind Clark Hall.  These should be the only vehicles parking in that area.
  • No one should be parking in the area near the old rain garden, near Golisano Hall. That area is for construction vehicles.
  • All College and Aramark employees are reminded to use extra caution when walking in the vicinity of these areas and to be diligent not to walk through construction zones.
  • Guests visiting the College are also advised to use extra caution around construction zones.

Paving, Residence Hall Refurbishments, and the Campus Gateway project continue.
All milling and paving work is weather permitting. 
Please avoid designated areas on paving days.

  • Anderson Center for the Arts (ACA) parking is accessible off Clinton Street at ACA.
  • The road from Wilder Hall to Anderson Center for the Arts and Clinton Street will be top paved on Monday, July 31.
  • Access upper Yager Hall parking lot at Seneca Lane (Willis Street) by facilities and enter Yager Hall parking lot from the Smith Hall end. Please use caution as this will be a two way entrance / exit while lower Yager and Wilder areas are top paved.
  • Top paving of Townhouses will begin on Monday, July 31.
  • Hartwick Drive demo and reconstruction continues.
  • Saxton Hall and Wilder Hall refurbishment continues.
  • Beginning Friday, June 9 enter/exit Bresee Hall from west (hillside) doors or bridge, the front entrance will be excavated.

This closure is necessary in order to replace a culvert that runs diagonally under the road surface. To access Smith Hall please use the lower route. To access Town House please use the upper route.

One lane will remain open while paving is in progress. Use caution and be prepared for potential delays.
  • Rebuilding of Memorial Staircase steps and wall will begin Monday-Tuesday, July 23-24.
  • Top paving the walkway from Dewar Hall to Leitzell Hall will begin Monday-Tuesday, July 23-24.
  • Top paving Leitzell Hall and VanEss Hall parking lot/road will begin Monday-Tuesday, July 23-24.
  • Milling from upper Binder parking lot to New Residence Hall may begin Monday-Tuesday, July 23-24. Please no parking along this route. Expect delays due to milling. Hilltop/Oyaron residents may park on far south end of Miller parking lot during milling.
  • Hartwick Drive demo and reconstruction continues.

  • The base layer at Binder Physical Education Center will be applied either late Thursday, July 20 or in the morning of Friday, July 21.
  • If the weather continues to be favorable, the top layer of pavement will be applied to roadway at Hilltop & Oyaron Houses and Townhouses.

  • Walk behind Bresee Hall will be poured Saturday, June 17.
  • Work on Yager Hall Patio retaining walls to run June 19-July 3.
  • Parking lot between Johnston Science Center and Hilltop/ Oyaron will be milled in its entirety. Please no parking, residents may park at upper Binder lot.
  • Beginning Friday June 9 enter/exit Bresee from west (hillside) doors or bridge, the front entrance will be excavated.

06/13/17: Tuesday

Hartwick Drive remains closed to vehicle traffic as work continues.

  • Parking has been designated for ADA (near Bresee and Clark), safety vehicles, and package delivery behind Clark Hall.
  • Parking will be available at Shineman lot and Greenhouse to new residence hall for Johnstone Science Center, Golisanao Hall, Bresee Hall, Clark Hall and Shineman Chapel House.
  • Parking in Anderson Center, upper and lower Yager lots are unaffected at this time.
  • Download the final design rendering for Hartwick Drive.

Paving and the Campus Gateway project continues.

  • Weather permitting roads and lots to be milled this week.
  • Hartwick Drive demo continues.
  • Bricks are being installed on the Campus Gateway signs at West Street. Power has been run to the large wall on West Street.
  • The new water line from Leitzel to Holmes is about 50% complete at this time.
  • Miller Court and the upper Binder PE Center parking lots are milled, graded and ready for paving. One lane will be available for thru traffic.
  • The excavation for a curb along the road from Wright Stadium to Binder PE Center is in progress. There is no parking along this road, one lane will be kept open for traffic flow.
  • The new Townhouse sidewalks are well under way.
  • Saxton and Wilder have been cleared of the old furniture, built in closets and old restroom fixtures. Refurbishment continues in both buildings.
  • Shineman Chapel House steps to Hartwick Drive have been removed.
  • Do not walk while using ear buds (head phones) around work zones.

Items for the week of June 12th include:

  • The front drive and parking area of Perrella Health Center will be paved with the base layer on June 15. (Added 6/14/17)
  • Parking lot between Johnston Science Center and Hilltop/ Oyaron will be milled in its entirety. Please no parking, residents may park at upper Binder lot. (Added 6/15/17)

Work on Hartwick Drive begins Monday, April 17 in the road and parking lot between the Rain Garden and Shineman Chapel House.

  • The parking lots behind Bresee Hall, Clark Hall and the Rain Garden will be closed as construction begins.
  • NO vehicles will be allowed behind Bresee/Clark/Rain Garden once construction begins.
  • As a result of this, 5 Handicapped Parking spots, 2 Mailroom Pickup spots, 2 Delivery Vehicle Only spots have been relocated from behind Bresee/Clark to new locations on Hartwick Drive. (All new spaces are located between Dewar Union and Memorial Staircase across from Bresee Main entrance.)

  • Brick will arrive Monday, April 17 for the Campus Gateway structures. As work continues, please use caution when entering the campus.
  • The retaining wall in front of Smith Hall is being replaced.
  • Work at the Rain Garden has begun. Expect heavy truck traffic as material is removed in the Rain Garden area.
