What We Do

Classroom Services

Our main responsibility is fulfilling media requests that enhance classroom teaching and learning experiences. Many of our classrooms are currently equipped with built-in media equipment. However, should additional presentation equipment be needed, we will be happy to move and set up the equipment in your class.

Classroom Technology Designs by Building

The following links contain detailed information about the technology in each classroom, what cables are available, and how to use some basic features. Wireless projection from laptops, phones and tablets is now being tested in several rooms on campus. There are some limitations, but it does offer additional options for classroom presentation. If you would like more information about the Epson iProjection app, please email

We welcome any feedback or suggestions for future presentation/equipment options – please email

Other Services

We also provide additional media services and facilities to the Hartwick community.

  • Media Equipment Loan Service (on a limited basis)
  • Media Format Transfers & Duplication – Cassette, CD, Vinyl Record, Reel-to-Reel tape
  • Audio & Video Production Facilities (voice-over recording, video editing, etc.)

Media Request Policy & Forms

Services and facility reservations are provided on a first-come-first-served basis. To guarantee services, we request a minimum of 24-hour notice for all media setups for classroom use. We will try our best to fulfill last-minute requests based on equipment availability, but they are NOT guaranteed. Reservations are also required for media equipment loan services. Some equipment may only be available to faculty and staff, and may require additional training for proper use.

To make equipment reservations for classroom use, please place requests online at Media Services Equipment Request. You may also call Media Services at extension 4176 or send an email to

Facilities & Equipment

Our facilities consist of televisions, projectors, document cameras, DVD & Blu-ray players, wired & wireless microphones, portable audio systems (PA), video cameras, and tripods. The equipment is available to be used on campus only. As the media center is charged to meet the audio-visual requirements of the faculty, we are interested in your suggestions for improved services.
