  • Connect to either HDMI or VGA + headphones jack on your laptop. Turn your laptop on.
  • Turn the projector on with the Epson remote. It should automatically start up in HDMI1 which is correct for either cable you use. If it says “No Signal”, press HDMI/Video on the Epson remote.
  • Epson iProjection is enabled on this projector. Contact Media Services about wireless projection of slides or images – email media@hartwick.edu.
  • If you need to use the document camera, turn it on and press Computer on the Epson remote.
  • The Epson remote controls the audio volume.
  • Please be sure to turn the projector off when you leave. Press the blue Power button (top left corner) two times.

  • Press anywhere on the Crestron touch screen to “wake” it up.
  • Press the “LAPTOP” button (left side, top button) to project your laptop.
  • Connect your laptop to the VGA cable; connect the headphone jack to your laptop if you are using sound.
  • To use the DVD player, press the “DVD/VCR” button the left side of the touch screen. Then use the Epson projector remote and press the “HDMI/Video” button.
  • Epson iProjection is enabled on this projector. Contact Media Services about wireless projection of slides or images – email media@hartwick.edu.
  • You will still use the touch screen to control the volume.
  • Press the “EXIT” button (right side, bottom button) and follow the directions to shut the system down.

  1. Turn the projector on by pressing the Projector button twice – projector will beep when it turns on (labelled 1).
  2. If you connect your laptop with the VGA cable, press VGA (labelled 2).
  3. To select the Document Camera, press DOC CAM (labelled 3).
  4. To use the DVD or VCR in the podium, press DVD/VCR (labelled 4). Use the LG remote to control the player and menus.
  5. If you connect your laptop with the HDMI cable, press HDMI (labelled 5).
  6. Wireless projection from laptops, phones and tablets is now possible (labelled 6). Epson iProjection is enabled on this projector. Contact Media Services about wireless projection of slides or images – email media@hartwick.edu.
  7. To control the volume from any of the sources, use the volume knob (labelled 7). If you do not have adequate volume, you may have to adjust settings on your laptop.
  8. Turn the projector off by pressing the Projector button once (labelled 1).

Media Services provides consultation, design, installation and maintenance services for the College classrooms, meeting rooms, and other learning environments.

* Wireless projection from laptops, phones and tablets is now available in several rooms. There are some limitations, but it does offer additional options for classroom presentation. If you would like to test out the Epson iProjection app, please email spiwakc@hartwick.edu.
