Through Hartwick’s many affiliations with other universities and study abroad organizations, students can go almost any place on the globe for a semester or a year and pay about the same as if they were on campus.
While abroad, students stay registered at Hartwick and pay their normal tuition and fees, keeping all need-based scholarships and financial aid.
If room and board are included in the overseas program, Hartwick also will bill students for those at Hartwick prices. Then the College pays the cost of the off-campus program to the host institution.
You can choose from affiliated programs in more than 60 destinations worldwide. By working closely with your advisors beforehand, credits earned overseas will count toward your degree and keep you on track for graduation. In many cases, you may be able to combine study abroad with opportunities for internships or community service or even individual research.
The deadline to apply to Hartwick for Semester-Long Study Abroad (SLSA) for fall 2017 or spring 2018 is Friday, March 10, 2017 . Only students with complete applications and who meet the necessary conduct and behavior requirements will be accepted to a program. It is important to know that our affiliates also have their own deadlines that must be respected, so make sure you pay attention to that as well. We strongly encourage students interested in studying abroad to meet with us well before the deadline. Below, you will see links to affiliated programs offered through Hartwick. The College reserves the right to revoke a student’s privilege to study abroad should the student’s behavior, following completion of the application process, be such that representing the college abroad would no longer be acceptable.
