Why are they important?
Regional Councils allow our alumni, parents and friends to connect with each other and with Hartwick. Councils are encouraged to plan area events as well as assist the College as we promote Hartwick sponsored events. We know that re-connecting with classmates or meeting fellow alumni is a meaningful way to remain engaged with Hartwick and to keep up to date on the latest College developments.
What do they do?
Regional Councils give the gift of their time and talent to our current students and young alumni. Council members may choose to offer resume reviews, mock interviews, or share internship and job postings in their field – this is a great opportunity to give back to the newest members of our Hartwick community.
We ask our Regional Council members to consider supporting the Hartwick Fund and to encourage their network of Hartwick friends to join them in support of the College. We value all levels of giving and strive to increase our participation rate among alumni.
Our Regional Councils are coordinated by volunteer chairpersons and supported by College Advancement.
