COVID-19 Plan

Visitors and Contractors: Vaccinations are strongly recommended for all members of the Hartwick community and those utilizing campus including visitors and contractors.


Students or employees who express COVID-19 symptoms:

Students: Any student who experiences symptoms of COVID-19, regardless of vaccination status, must report to Perrella Wellness Center and should obtain a COVID-19 rapid test.

Employees: Inform your immediate supervisor and Human Resources, and copy healthcenter@hartwick.edu. Faculty should also let the Office of Academic Affairs know at acadaff@hartwick.edu.


Masks in indoor or outdoor settings are not required on the Hartwick College campus. The College reserves the right to require masks on an event-by-event basis.

WATCH FOR SYMPTOMS OF COVID-19

  • Fever or chills
  • Respiratory symptoms, such as dry cough or shortness of breath
  • Sore throat
  • Fatigue
  • Headache
  • Body or muscle aches
  • Loss of taste or smell
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure. Many people with COVID-19 have mild symptoms and are able to recover at home.

Or think you might have been exposed to someone with a confirmed COVID-19 case? Stay home. Avoid spreading the virus to others. Contact your primary care physician. You can also call the Perrella Health Center at 607-431-4120.

  • Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
  • Persistent pain or pressure in your chest
  • New confusion
  • Blush lips or face
