Hartwick College Establishes Transfer Pathway with Tompkins Cortland Community College
Hartwick College and Tompkins Cortland Community College (TC3) finalized a transfer agreement on Sept. 29 that creates a direct pathway for TC3 graduates in business administration or sport management to continue their education at Hartwick and earn a bachelor’s degree.
The agreement, signed by Hartwick President Laurel Bongiorno and TC3 President Amy Kremenek at a ceremony on TC3’s campus in Dryden, N.Y., guarantees admission to the corresponding Hartwick bachelor’s degree programs for TC3 graduates who have a minimum 2.0 grade-point average. Eligible transfer students also qualify for a scholarship of at least $10,000.
Bongiorno said the agreement will help students build on the academic work they have already completed as they pursue a bachelor’s degree at Hartwick.
“We are excited to strengthen our partnership with Tompkins Cortland Community College and make it easier for students to continue their education at Hartwick,” Bongiorno said. “This agreement recognizes the work students have already completed while providing a clear path to a bachelor’s degree and the high-quality academic experience Hartwick offers.”
Kremenek said the partnership supports TC3’s commitment to transfer opportunities and career preparation for its graduates.
“TC3 students can rely on our commitment to high-quality transfer and career outcomes for our graduates,” Kremenek said. “With new transfer agreements in Sport Management and Business Administration with Hartwick College, TC3 students can transfer and earn their baccalaureate degree from an institution that shares this commitment. Hartwick has a well-established history in our region and state with a strong alumni network, and we are proud to partner in support of degree pathways that lead to high-quality, in-demand careers.”
This partnership joins several articulation or transfer agreements Hartwick has established to give students a clear pathway to a bachelor’s degree.
