Parents & Families

Welcome to Our Hartwick Community

We are here to answer your questions, help you make connections, offer assistance, and suggest ways you can support your student’s success.

The Parent & Family Association will be one of your primary resources at Hartwick College. We collaborate with colleagues across the College to keep you up-to-date on what’s happening on campus. When you’re informed on key developments and initiatives, you’ll develop a good understanding of your student’s college experience.

Due to continued public health concerns, graduation exercises for the Classes of 2021 and 2020 will be held virtually this spring, as planned on Saturday, May 29, at 11:30 a.m. Many traditions will continue through this online format, including bagpipers performing and graduates ringing their Hartwick bells.

Parent & Family Giving

Your Support Matters

Make your gift to support Hartwick students. Hartwick College stands on a broad and deep foundation of philanthropic support. The College started with a generous gift – the bequest of John Christopher Hartwick in the late 1700s – and moved to Oneonta in the 1920s with a series of gifts from townspeople who asked the College to come and enrich their community.

The Reason

Philanthropic support for Hartwick College is an investment in the future. Hartwick students benefit and grow and then go on to enhance the lives of others. Hartwick graduates serve their communities and the world as artists and analysts, business leaders and community leaders, doctors and nurses, educators and musicians, entrepreneurs and environmentalists, researchers and practitioners, and so much more.

Give Now

From your student’s first day as a Hawk and every year on campus, they’ll build on what they’ve learned and how they’ve changed, with key professional milestones that help them grow toward their goals. They’ll fine-tune their objectives and prepare for what’s next. Tapping the resources of our Career Development Center, they’ll be ready to launch.
