2026 Brent R. Nicklas School of Nursing O'Connor Lecture Featuring Heather L. Bernard

Heather L. Bernard, DNP, RN, CIC, FAPIC, a nationally recognized nurse executive and infection prevention leader, spoke at Hartwick College on Oct. 21 for the A. Lindsay and Olive B. O’Connor Chair Lecture in Slade Theatre, Yager Hall.

During the lecture, “What I Wish Every Nursing Student Knew About Infection Prevention: Lessons From 20 Years on the Front Lines,” Bernard discussed leadership, career growth, patient safety, nursing career paths and infection prevention.
